So we had the youth conference this weekend.... although it was basically a high school + conference, because since there aren't many Christians in the area they needed it to be more of a 'young adult' conference. Malta (my church here) hosted it so we helped out with things. Spent all day Friday cleaning the entire church (I mean like Spring Cleaning! we scrubbed the windows, walls, doors, table legs...) and throughout the weekend we helped out with the meals - mainly the prep work and taking care of the tables. Prep work consisted of cutting onions and crying. Lol.

We had about 100 people come from all over Bosnia, Croatia, and Serbia. It was pretty fun.. the speakers were good (we had a translator for most of it, but Saturday the speaker was Jason - from Texas. He speaks a little Bosnian but it was easier for him to talk in English, so they had someone translate for him in Bosnian). The worship was pretty much amazing. The worship team is a group from here, so I know most everyone who was up there. Here are a few pictures from the weekend:

the pots we cooked in were too big to wash in the sink, so I got to use my tub to wash dishes

Sounds exciting! I'm kind of jealous because all the messages here are in Arabic so we have no idea what anyone is saying for about 45 straight :(

We're praying for ya!

absolutely loving reading your blogs and the pictures really make it! I'm not surprised your place is so small as most foreign countries are this way even Europe but the close quarters should make for some interesting frustrations that i'll be praying about for you! Can't wait to hear more! -Tracy
