Less than 2 weeks.....

So I am getting really excited about my missions portion of ROOTS.

I still have 1 week left of classes here in Portland, and then 5 days to prepare to leave before I'm gone for 3 months! Crazy how time flies.

My plane leaves on October 2nd (which is less than 2 weeks away!). I got a chunk of support money this past week, so now my overall balance is $4000... and they haven't received any of my support from East Park yet. I'm really putting my trust in God that all this financial stuff will work itself out, so no worries here =)

I recently found out where Allix and I will be staying - in a studio apartment right above the church that we'll be working at. How perfect is that?!?!? I cannot wait to get there and start meeting the locals.

I will miss my small group girls a ton while I am gone... Carson, Whitney, Madalyn, Hannah
I'll miss my friends and family in the states... too many to name ;)
and I'll for sure miss my roots crew... Clarke & Chris (in Jordan) and my soulmate Megan (in Kosovo)

I've installed skype on my computer, so if anyone wants to talk with me while I am gone, I just used my full name (Melissa Thompson), and then my user name is melissa.thompson21 and then the e-mail address I used was melissa.thompson21@yahoo.com
You can just click 'add contacts' and use any of those to find me and we can be skype buddies and talk for FREE while I'm in Bosnia. Pretty cool, huh?
For example, since we are going to be gone over Thanksgiving, the 5 of us decided that we would have Thanksgiving together through Skype. So we'll be in 3 different countries (none of which is the U.S.) and we'll be celebrating that together - a good 9 hours ahead of the people in America.
