here at last

So I am finally in Bosnia.

We had a nine and a half hour flight from Portland to Frankfurt which seemed like forever (especially since I was sitting between two people and my chair stuck so it wouldn't lean back so I couldn't get any sleep :(
Our other two flights were only an hour each, which wasn't bad at all.

I still can't believe that I am sitting on a couch in Europe right now - things stiff seem just so surreal!!! Tomorrow we have a wedding to go to, so we're getting to experience the culture right off the bat... interesting fact: in Bosnia the only way to be legally married is in the courthouse. People can choose if they want to have a "religious ceremony" as well, but it is "just for show and doesn't count as the real thing."
